Fixing communication tower 'dead zones' complicated, say sheriff, Carmel mayor
John Accetturo will ask his fellow Carmel City Council members on Tuesday to spend up to $1.7 million in city funds to build a new communication tower that he hopes will fix "dead zones" in Southwest Clay Township -- areas where police, firefighters and medical workers can't reach emergency dispatchers.

West Point triple stabbing linked to domestic dispute
WEST POINT -- A triple stabbing is being blamed on a domestic dispute. Edward Cox, 41, of 528 Illinois St. in West Point, the man accused of stabbing his former girlfriend Joshlyn Blair, 37, at her Glendale Drive home, reportedly lashed out after Blair broke up with him.
